Marrakech is the ideal starting point for you to travel in Morocco

Morocco offers vast possibilities for travellers: exciting mountains, long coast sides and white sand dunes in the desert. It is our pleasure to serve you with a broad choice of ideas for your trips in Morocco. You may do all the bookings necessary in our riad once in Marrakech or beforehand via email:

Day excursions from Marrakech

  • Consider an excursion to the valleys of the High Atlas? Hike along the water falls of Setti Fatma and enjoy a delicious tajine at the creek of the Ourika Valley together with adventurous Moroccans.
  • You’d rather fancy a total change from Marrakech and taste a fresh breeze at the coast and some fish? We recommend an excursion to Essaouira, a charming and colourful city at the Atlantic coast (approx. 2,5 hours drive from the riad).

Travel further away from Marrakech

If you plan several days for your vacation in Morocco, Marrakech might just be a part of your trip:

- Mountains, Kasbahs and desert: Travel in Morocco with focus on spectacular nature

Departing from Marrakech on the route to the South you will pass by the High Atlas Mountains with impressive alpine altitude and deep, narrow gorges until you reach the impressive Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a partly inhabited fortified village and UNESCO World Heritage Site (since 1987). Continue on the “Route des Kasbahs” experiencing green oases rich with palm trees, rugged gorges with bizarre formations and seemingly endless spread of white desert sand. Ride on camels into the sunset and spend a night in Berber tents underneath the clear desert sky.

- The Royal Cities: Travel in Morocco with focus on culture

Make Marrakech and our riad the starting point for your tour “Royal cities of Morocco”: visit the majestic mosque Hassan II in Casablanca, explore Rabat with its royal tombs and winding alleys in the Kasbah des Oudayas. In Meknes you will find an awe-inspiring granary and nearby the ruins of the former Roman city Volubilis. You certainly shouldn’t miss Fes with its narrow streets in the most authentic old town of Morocco.

Our riad team is happy to assist you when you travel in Morocco and Marrakech with ideas for your trip, accommodation (hotel or riad) and transport: Reservation.
